Anna and Mike have been together since they were practically babies themselves. Anna is my cousin so I have known both of them for a very long time. I have watched their relationship evolve from school aged kids, to newly married adults, and now as parents. Each step of the way their love growing stronger and full of support for one another.
Throughout her pregnancy Anna and I messaged back and forth about whats normal/not normal during pregnancy, what things you actually do need for a baby, and showing off nursery progress. Being asked to help Mike and Anna welcome Cordelia into the home that they have lovingly prepared for her was an honor.
It seems as we age the relationship with our cousins changes and strengthens. Now we are not only cousins but we are mothers together. We have someone to share the challenges and celebrate the joys with. Cry with about our children growing up too quickly. We are now a band of wives and mothers who are able to learn from each other and share our families forever. I am so excited to watch our children grow and become friends over the years.
But for now, Anna and Mike, snuggle that baby as much and as often as you would like. Spend days in bed with her soaking up the perfection that you have created. Shower her with the love you have given each other through all these years. Congratulations to you both!
